329A Killinan Beginners S'chase

The Stewards fined S.J.Mahon, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of The Day Is Done, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

R. Loughran, rider of Head Turner, trained by P.A.Fahy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran on past beaten horses in the straight.

329B www.thurlesraces.ie H'cap S'chase

The Stewards received a report from Turf Club Veterinary Officer, Ms Joan Taylor M.R.C.V.S. that the passport for Who's Cross, trained by John Patrick Ryan had not been lodged within the time limit as specified in Rule 90. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Who's Cross under Rule 90 (ii) and imposed a fine of €350 on the trainer.

329C Cahir M'dn H'dle

J.J. Slevin, rider of Champagne Paddy, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost its action after the first and pulled up.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Champagne Paddy, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

329E Holycross M'dn H'dle

The Stewards fined Brian Francis Cawley, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Samantha Bellamy, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

John J Fitzpatrick, rider of Pride Of Kildare trained by D.Buckley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left in the closing stages.

R.A. Doyle, rider of Tricky Question trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount didn't handle today's going.

329F Templemore H'cap H'dle

P.T. Enright, rider of Rebel Ace, trained by W.J. Burke, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stumbled after the last hurdle on the first circuit and didn't travel thereafter.

The Stewards requested a report from Eoin Christopher McCarthy, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Pound A Stroke, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that this horse was wearing cheek pieces for the first time today. He also feels that this horse jumps stuffed hurdles better than solid hurdles which may have contributed to today's improved form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the contents of the report.

329G Thurles H'cap H'dle

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Uptake (GB) trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount appeared to have burst.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Uptake (GB), trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood on the nose as a result of exercise-induced pulmonary haemorrhage.

P.T. Enright, rider of Hexapod trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ducked from other horses in the straight ran out and pulled up.
