298A Irish Stallion Farms EBF(Mares)Beg. S'ch

The Stewards fined Donncha Duggan, trainer, €350 for failing to lodge a passport in respect of Athloman Cottage, under the provisions of Rule 90. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

A. Ring, rider of Charlotte's Chum, trained by Philip M. Byrne, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a bad mistake and was pulled up thereafter.

298C Thurles (Mares) M'dn H'dle

The Stewards fined J.Motherway, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Goodnightngodbless, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

The Stewards fined Desmond Kenneally, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Be My Westerner, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

298D Leugh H'cap H'dle

D.N. Russell, rider of West Light (GB) trained by Michael J. McDonagh, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

A. McCurtin, rider of Fairymount Boy trained by Michael P. Hourigan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined West Light (GB), trained by Michael J. McDonagh, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

298F Premier County H'cap H'dle

The Stewards fined P. Hogan, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Perfect Leader, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Uptake (GB) trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

298G Munster INH Flat Race

The Stewards received a report from Ms. Joan Taylor, Turf Club Veterinary Officer, that she was unable to positively identify Darcis Boy, trained by John. M. Burke, from the markings provided on the passport. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned and from Ms. Taylor. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Darcis Boy under the provisions of Rule 90 and referred the matter to the C.E.O of the Turf Club for further investigation.

The Stewards received a report from Mr. H.T. Hynes, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr. A.J. Fox, rider of Crezic (FR), had weighed in at 1.5 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Rule 231. Having considered his previous record in this regard, the Stewards suspended him for 1 raceday.

The Stewards enquired from Mr. P.D. Collins, rider of Smithscorner, trained by Robert Tyner, who fell on the flat in this race. The rider reported that his mount stumbled of his own accord and he was unseated.
