325A Killinan Beginners S'chase

S.W. Flanagan, rider of Bridies Boy trained by John J. Walsh, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped right throughout.

K.M. Donoghue, rider of Simple Joys (GB) trained by Mrs Denise Foster, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in-running.

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, P.L. Malone, that B. Hayes, rider of Goulane Chosen, had failed to draw the weight at which he weighed out, having been allowed 1lb. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. The trainer stated that the breast plate had been inadvertently weighed-out with the saddle as it was wrapped up with the pad but had then been detached when unsaddling and the rider weighed-in without out it which probably contributed to the rider weighing in light. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards found that the rider had failed to draw the correct weight, contrary to Rule 231 and disqualified the Goulane Chosen from 4th place. They further found both trainer and rider in breach of Rule 198 (ii) by allowing a breastplate on the scales on weighing-out and having considered their respective good records the Stewards severely cautioned both trainer and rider in this regard.

325C Cahir M'dn H'dle

A.E. Lynch, rider of Lake Takapuna, trained by J.H. Culloty, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount suffered accidental interference early and ended up further back than he wanted.

A.P. Heskin, rider of Mason Dixon, trained by F. Flood, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran free early and gave a good blow up the hill.

M.P. Walsh, rider of On The Dry, trained by A.L.T.Moore, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran wide off the last bend and will possibly need further in time.

R.M. Power, rider of Petit Chef (FR), trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount pulled up after the second fence after the reins broke.

D.E. Mullins, rider of Peace N' Milan, trained by F. Flood, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran green and missed the second last hurdle.

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Tethra, trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly throughout.

325E Templemore H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed D.G. Hogan, rider of Long House Island, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found D.G. Hogan in breach of Regulation 10.4. by failing to give his mount time to respond and having taken his good record into account the Stewards severely cautioned the rider regarding his future whip use.
