The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

A. Ring replaced A.P. Heskin on Kalanisi Express, trained by James Daniel Dullea (Race 6)(Injured)
J.M. Moore replaced M.A. Enright on Varene De Vauzelle (FR), trained by Michael Hourigan (Race 6)(Injured)

057A Templemore Beginners S'chase

Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer and rider of Misdflight, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge jumped carefully and needs to race over a longer distance

057B Jimmy Neville Memorial Beginners S'chase

J.J. Burke, rider of Na Trachtalai Abu, trained by J.Motherway, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he lost an iron when his mount pitched on landing over the first fence. .

057C Devil's Bit H'cap S'chase

D.N. Russell, rider of Churchfield Champ trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled during the race and lost his action after the last fence.

P.T. Enright, rider of Killeena House, trained by Robert Tyner, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he pulled up his mount before the final fence as he felt that she had lost her action. He subsequently found her to be sound on returning to the unsaddling area.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Killeena House, trained by Robert Tyner, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

057D Martinstown Opportunity M'dn H'dle

The Stewards received a report from Turf Club Starter, P.F. Graffin, that F.J. Hayes, rider of Festive Day had failed to obey his instructions which resulted in a false start being called. Evidence was heard from the starter and rider concerned. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that F.J. Hayes was in breach of Rule 208(v) by failing to comply with the Starters instructions and consequently suspended him for 2 racedays.

A. Ring, rider of Loch Luatha trained by L.Young, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made mistakes and did not handle the ground.

057F Clonoulty H'cap H'dle

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Candle Island, trained by Michael McCullagh, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

D.N. Russell, rider of Candle Island trained by Michael McCullagh, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having made jumping mistakes and becomming detached from the main contenders.

057G Littleton INH Flat Race

The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving Cant Wait, ridden by Mr D.L. Queally, placed first and Arena Seven, ridden by Mr P.C. Bannon, placed second, where it appeared that Arena Seven ran short of room when racing inside a plastic wing at the area of the final hurdle. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Cant Wait had improved his placing in relation to Arena Seven and ordered that the placings be reversed with the result now to read: First - Arena Seven and Second - Cant Wait. Furthermore the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr D.L. Queally had ridden carelessly and cautioned him having taken his good recent record into consideration.
