A.W. Short, rider of Nerual trained by Miss Elizabeth Doyle, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Stewards interviewed D. Robinson, rider of Nick Lost (FR), concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(a), in that he had used his whip in front of the saddle while in the forehand position. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Steward suspended him for 1 raceday.

033F www.thurlesraces.ie (L) ( P-A) Hcap Hdle

The Stewards requested a report from Sean Aherne, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Analyse That, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge had ran well on his previous run at Gowran Park until the turn into the home straight when failing quickly, on what he described as very testing ground conditions. He felt that a combination of a lesser race on more favourable ground conditions, had brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

033G Irish Stallion Farms EBF(M)INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr B. O'Neill, rider of Western Victory, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
