163A Guinness Claiming Race

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving The Ice Meister, ridden by E.T. Daly, Irish Reel, ridden by C.D. Hayes, and Specific Gravity (FR), ridden by D.P. McDonogh, where it appeared Irish Reel and Specific Gravity (FR) received interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned and from Shane Lyons, representing Ger Lyons, Master of apprentice E.T. Daly. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found E.T. Daly in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly and having taken his record into account the Stewards cautioned the rider regarding his future riding.

The Stewards fined Noel C. Kelly, € 350 for failing to lodge a passport in respect of winning horse Mighty Whitey, in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(vi). Written assurance was given by or on behalf of the Trainer that the Passport would be forwarded to Horse Racing Ireland within the next 3 working days for verification with the markings and microchip number taken by the Turf Club Veterinary Officer.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Irish Reel, trained by H.Rogers, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount received interference in the straight.

163B Irish Stallion Farms EBF Med. Auct. M'dn

The Stewards fined Mark Michael McNiff, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Coolnasillagh Lass (GB), in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

The Stewards informed a representative of Patrick Martin, trainer that Steelyeyed, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

S. Foley, rider of Magnification, trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was unsuited by the tight track.

K.J. Condon, trainer of Magnification, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Thursday 30th June that his charge was found to be stiff behind post race.

163C Arken Construction Supp. Sligo GAA H'cap

D.M. Redmond, rider of Lake George trained by James M. Barrett, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount didn't handle today's going.

S. Foley, rider of Dandysteps trained by Mrs Prunella Dobbs, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount raced keenly.

K.J. Leonard, rider of P C Dolly trained by Garvan Donnelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount didn't handle today's going.

The Stewards requested a report from J.F. Levins, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Jumbo Steps, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that this horse had been a little free in his races recently and they had encouraged him to settle at home. Combined with today's favourable going he felt these factors may have combined to bring about a return to form. Having considered the report the Stewards noted its contents.

D.J.Ryan, trainer of Time For Art, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge showed signs of being in season post race.

163F Audi Sligo Apprentice H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving Manomine (GB), ridden by R. Coakley, Nidhaam (GB), ridden by K.J. Leonard, Penelope Pitstop (GB), ridden by M.J. Kenneally, and Bert Leaf (GB), ridden by R.A. Smithers, where it appeared interference took place. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned, in the presence of Seamus Fahey, trainer. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that M.J. Kenneally was in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly and having taken his record into account the Stewards cautioned M.J. Kenneally regarding his future riding.

163G Irish Stallions Farms EBF Med.Auct. M'dn

C.T. Keane, rider of Clear Spirit, trained by Sarah Dawson, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran short of room on leaving the back straight.
