W.J. Lee, rider of Chamrousse trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount kicked at the stalls as they opened, which caused him to loose ground.

117C Kilcawley Construction H'cap

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Sors, ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed fifth, Kasbah, ridden by R.P. Cleary, placed third and A Likely Story, ridden by D.E. Sheehy, unplaced, where it appeared both Sors and A Likely Story met with interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings. They were however, of the opinion that R.P. Cleary was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record, they suspended him for 2 racedays.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Dillygass trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that had to check his mount mid race.

S. Foley, rider of Libras Power trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hesitated when the stalls opened.

The Stewards interviewed M.A. Gallagher, rider of Ebony Belle, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that M.A. Gallagher was in breach of Regulation 10.3(i) in that he had used his whip without allowing his mount at least three strides to respond. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards cautioned M.A. Gallagher on this occasion.

117E Martin Reilly Mazda H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Solomons Seal, trained by Joseph G. Murphy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

Joseph G. Murphy, trainer of Solomons Seal, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge ran off the bend past the stands.

117F Sligo Races Hospitality H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Royal Canford, trained by W. McCreery, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

GENERAL INFORMATION
