115B Duke And Duchess Of Cornwall (M) Mdn Hdl

The Stewards interviewed R.P. Treacy, rider of Silver Sally, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found R.P. Treacy in breach of Reg 10 3. (g) by using his whip with the arm above shoulder height and having taken his record into account the Stewards cautioned the rider regarding his future responsibilities in this regard.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Palm Sur, trained by J.R. Barry, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

B.T. O'Connell, rider of Palm Sur trained by J.R. Barry, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made mistakes.

R.P. Treacy, rider of Silver Sally trained by Thomas P. Cummins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly from the second last.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined I Knew Well, trained by T.J. Taaffe, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

115D Ellen's Pub Maugherow H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed S. Fox, rider of Pennys Tune, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found S. Fox in breach of Reg 10 3.(b) by continuing to use his whip after his chance of winning or being placed was gone and having taken his record into account the Stewards suspended him for one race day.

115E Martinstown Opportunity M'dn H'dle

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Hazinowings trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, trainer of Hazinowings, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Thursday 21st May that his charge scoped wrong immediately after the race.

115F Martin Reilly BMW H'cap H'dle

Owing to low-lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for the last hurdle to be omitted in this race.

The Stewards interviewed R. Loughran, rider of Jkt Prince, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards accepted that he used his whip in the forehand position in exceptional circumstances but found him in breach of Reg 10 (3) (b) by using his whip when his chance of winning or being placed was gone and having taken his record into account suspended him for two race days.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Stoughan Cross, trained by Thomas Gibney, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
