L.F. Roche, rider of Miss Gally Rio, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount met with interference after the road crossing before the straight when unable to hold her position and was checked.

Grant, placed second and Jesmond Lodge, ridden by I.T. Queally, placed third. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Flic Flac had caused interference to Almosthaditall (USA) but had not improved her placing in so doing and therefore made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action.

Evidence was heard from the representative who stated that he was on his own today and had to saddle and lead up the gelding which was stabled at the furtherest point of the yard.
