The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Mark Fahey, trainer of Golden Plan (off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

R. Loughran rode Golden Silence (reserve), trained by V.C. Ward (Race 5).
K.M. Donoghue replaced R.M. Power on Roachdale House, trained by Paul W. Flynn (Race 4)(injured)

181D Joe Henry Memorial H'cap H'dle

A.E. Lynch, rider of Muroor (GB) trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slightly hampered.

181E Durkin Bros. Electrical H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed M.F. Mooney, rider of Glasson Lad, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g), in that he had used his whip with the arm above shoulder height. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended him for two racedays.
Mr. Michael Moloney, trainee Acting Steward, was present for this enquiry.

M.A. Enright, rider of Kentucky Lass trained by Barry T. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled and was pulled up thereafter.

C.D. Timmons, rider of Take A Chance On R trained by Garry Caldwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled and was pulled up thereafter.

181G Foley's Bar & Off Licence INH Flat Race

The Stewards fined P.J. Rothwell, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of La Regle, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

The Stewards interviewed Mr D.J. Benson, rider of Royal Zorro, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he had used his whip with excessive force and frequency and Regulation 10.3 (e), in that he had used his whip other than down the shoulder or the hind quarters. Having taken his excellent record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended him for one raceday. Mr Michael Moloney, trainee Acting Steward was present for this enquiry.
