The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Ashtarak, ridden by O.J. Orr, faller, Call Me Rocky, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed third and Castel Gandolfo, ridden by S. Foley, placed fourth, where it appeared that Ashtarak fell as a result of clipping heels. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judges placings. Furthermore, The Stewards were satisfied from the evidence offered by O. J. Orr that the incident was accidental and they took no further action.

The Stewards enquired into an incident after approximately one furlong involving Oronero, ridden by K.J. Leonard, unplaced and Zanavi, ridden by R.P. Downey, unplaced, where it appeared that Zanavi received a bump from it's left and then collided with the running rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations given and took no further action.

K.J. Leonard, rider of Oronero trained by Miss Natalia Lupini, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was out of control for most of the race.

The Stewards interviewed Mr. Herbert Butler, authorised representative for Miss Natalia Lupini, trainer of Oronero, concerning the conduct of this horse who caused serious interference soon after leaving the stalls. Furthermore, the rider K. J. Leonard reported to the clerk of the scales that Oronero was out of control all the way and he subsequently also reported at the stewards enquiry that in his opinion this animal was not a suitable ride for an apprentice. Evidence was heard from Mr. Butler who stated that this was a big strong free running horse that in his opinion did not handle todays ground or the track and the intention will be to seek a race on a straight track. Having considered the evidence The Stewards noted the explanation and informed Miss Lupini through her authorised representative that the future behaviour of Oronero would be monitored.

W.M. Lordan, rider of Ballinlough Gale trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran keen during this race.

Lordan, placed second, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference caused was accidental in nature and they therefore made no alteration to the judges placings and took no further action.
