The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

S.A.Shorthall replaced D. Meyler on Pencilhimin, trained by Norman Cassidy (Race 4)(injured)

173A Athleague Mares M'dn H'dle

P. Townend, rider of Siberian Vixen trained by Edmond Kent, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount raced reluctantly.

173D Leo Dolan Memorial H'cap H'dle

R.C. Colgan, rider of Ongenstown Lad trained by Mrs Gillian Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left and was pulled up.

D.R. Fox, rider of Mr Mulliner, trained by Mark Michael McNiff, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was unsuited by the yielding going.

173E Keen Print H'cap H'dle

B.J. Geraghty, rider of Steamboat Quay trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly left.

M.A. Enright, rider of Glen's Dd trained by Garrett James Power, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost his action, hung and was pulled up.

A.E. Lynch, rider of Fairymount Boy trained by Michael P. Hourigan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

P.W. O'Reilly, rider of Tullodoc, trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount accidentally clipped heels and was unseated.

173F roscommonracecourse.ie INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr D. Maxwell, rider of Pipewort, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(b), having used the whip unnecessarily when his chance had gone and having considered his clean record, suspended him for two race days. Furthermore the rider was advised to familiarise himself with the regulations regarding use of the whip.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined He's A Gent, trained by Alan Fleming, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be distressed post race.

Miss K. Harrington, rider of Twinkletoes trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount lost her action and was pulled up.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Twinkletoes, at the request of trainer, Mrs John Harrington, and reported the animal to be post-race normal.
