The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

N.P. Mc Parlan replaced Mr L. Quinlan on Thekingofconnemara, trained by Barry John Murphy (Race 6)(Stewards' permission).

345A Join Our 2019 Members Rated Novice H'dle

Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards allowed Due Reward, trained by Henry de Bromhead, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the error identified in the certification of vaccinations would be corrected in accordance with Rule 91 within the timeframe specified.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ballyneety (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

345B Pun'town Racecourse Of The Year Mdn Hdl

D.N. Russell, rider of Aonghus Song trained by Patrick G.Kelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poor.

345C Sherry FitzGerald Lettings H'cap H'dle

At the request of the Stewards, D.N. Russell, rider of Grotesque (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got tight for room in the back straight.

At the request of the Stewards, P.D. Kennedy, rider of Wings Like Arion, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got a bump in the back straight.

At the request of the Stewards, J.W. Kennedy, rider of Smithscorner, trained by Michael G. Kennedy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount met with accidental interference.

The Stewards interviewed B. Arthey, authorised representative of S.R.B. Crawford, trainer, regarding the late arrival of his charges Schmidt and Curious Times into the Parade Ring. Evidence was heard from the authorised representative who stated that he was saddling both horses and having saddled Schmidt, Curious Times was unsettled, difficult to saddle and B. Arthey lost track of time. Having considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that B. Arthey was in breach of Rule 32(ii) in that his charges were late into the parade ring. Having considered the trainer's clean record in this regard, the stewards fined S.R.B. Crawford €200.

345D John Durkan Memorial Punchestown S'chase

The Stewards enquired into an incident approaching the second last fence involving Min (FR), ridden by R. Walsh, and Shattered Love, ridden by J.W. Kennedy, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards accepted the explanations offered and took no further action.

345E GAIN Support Laois GAA Beginners S'chase

The Stewards interviewed Terence O'Brien, trainer of Articulum, regarding the late arrival of the horse into the Parade Ring. Evidence was heard from the trainer who apologised for the delay and stated that he had difficulties in fitting a tongue tie to his charge which delayed him considerably. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that T. O' Brien was in breach of Rule 32 (ii) in that his charge was late into the parade ring. Having considered his clean record in this regard, the Stewards fined T. O' Brien €200.

345F K Club H'cap S'chase

The Stewards sought to interview I.Madden, trainer, in relation to a difficulty in identifying his charge, Seanathair, on the inspection of the passport presented. Neither I. Madden or an authorised representative were available for interview, and having considered the circumstances of I. Madden being unavailable, the Stewards withdrew Seanathair and referred the matter to the CEO of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board for further investigation.

345G The Old House, Kill (P-Am) INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed C.P. McNamara, rider of I Got This, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that C.P. McNamara was in breach of Regulation 10 3 (b), in that he used his whip unnecessarily when his chances of winning or being placed were clearly gone. Having considered his clean record in this regard, the Stewards cautioned C.P. McNamara on this occasion.
