The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

E.T. Daly rode Neatly Put (GB) (reserve) , trained by Denis Gerard Hogan (Race 6)
P.T. Enright replaced D. Robinson on Messerati Kid, trained by Adrian Murray (Race 4)(No show)- €200.

363A Tote Supporting Irish Racing Beg.S'ch

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Ballyward, ridden by P. Townend, placed second and C'est Jersey (FR), ridden by D.J. Mullins, placed third. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference caused was accidental and took no further action.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Kagney trained by Noel Meade was found to have blood at the nose following exercised induced pulmonary haemorrhage.

P. Townend, rider of Ballyward trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly right throughout.

S.W. Flanagan, rider of Kagney trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel and pulled up thereafter.

P. Townend, rider of Well Tom trained by Aengus King, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a mistake at the second last.

363D Small Stakes Big Wins Tote 3YO M'dn Hdle

J.B. Kane, rider of Tashman trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

At the request of the Stewards, D.F. O'Regan, rider of Livingstones Quest, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was keen early on and stayed on past tired horses.

The Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, Mr. Hugh Hynes, that J.C. Canavan, rider of Fly Round The Bend, had weighed in at 1.1Ibs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that J.C. Canavan was in breach of Rule 231 and suspended him for 2 racedays having taken his previous record into consideration.

The Stewards fined D. Robinson €200 in his absence, for failing to present himself to be weighed out for this race in accordance with the Provisions Rule 196.

363F Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap H'dle

J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Sir Pimpernel trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a couple of mistakes.

The Stewards requested a report from Shane Crawley, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Breesy Mountain, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mr. Crawley reported that a combination of a poor race, an easy lead and an enterprising ride helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fu's Island, trained by P.Meany, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race. Samples were taken for analysis.

The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Fu's Island, ridden by N. Bashford, and trained by P.Meany. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. N. Bashford, stated that his instructions were to drop out and give his mount every chance to run well as she may lack race fitness. He stated she gurged badly during the race and he held her together to get her home. Mr. Michael Meany, authorised representative for the trainer stated that he was satisfied with the ride considering that the filly made a noise during the race, he added that she has had a number of training problems and has been off the track for a while. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that the animal was coughing post race. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations offered. They were however, of the opinion that N. Bashford was in breach of Rule 213 in that he failed to report at first instance, something that may have affected the performance of his mount and therefore suspended him for 1 raceday.

363G ISF EBF (Mares) (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

Mr D.H. Dunsdon, rider of Daylight Katie (FR) trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran keen early on and hung left.
