The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Mr P.W. Mullins replaced R. Walsh on Sambremont (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 2)(stewards permission).
Mr B.O. Walsh replaced B.J. Foley on Alive Inside, trained by Rodger Sweeney (Race 7)(injured).

087A Dooley Insurances Cross Country S'chase

Mr R.W. Barron, rider of Blue Templar, trained by E. Bolger, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stumbled independently unseating him, while rounding the bend on the approach to the second last.

087B Three.ie H'cap S'chase

P.T. Enright, rider of Stoughan Cross trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake and never travelled thereafter.

Mr P.W. Mullins, rider of Sambremont (FR) trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped and he pulled up thereafter.

087C Ir.Stallion Farms EBF(Mares)Champion Hdl

P. Townend, rider of Augusta Kate (GB) trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was never on the bridle.

The Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the bend into the home straight, involving Airlie Beach, ridden by D.E. Mullins, placed second and Apple's Jade (FR), ridden by B.J. Cooper, placed first, where it appeared Airle Beach ran short of racing room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that B.J. Cooper was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered his previous record in this regard, the stewards cautioned him.

087E Palmerstown House Pat Taaffe Hcap Schase

R. Walsh, rider of The Crafty Butcher trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake and was pulled up thereafter.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined The Crafty Butcher, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

B.J. Cooper, rider of Marinero trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount felt lame and was pulled up thereafter.

The Stewards received a report from Mr. P.L Malone, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that C.D. Timmons, rider of Forever Gold, weighed in at 1.1 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record, cautioned him.

087F Ballymore H'cap H'dle

M.P. Walsh, rider of Scoir Mear trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled and was pulled up.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Scoir Mear, trained by Thomas Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

R. Walsh, rider of Bonbon Au Miel (FR) trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran free and was pulled up thereafter.
