The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

M.Phelan, trainer of Petuna (Off Feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

P.T. Enright rode Lleyton (reserve) , trained by T.J. Taaffe (Race 1)
R.M. Power replaced J.W. Kennedy on Jury Duty, trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 4)(Injury)
Rachael Blackmore replaced J.W. Kennedy on Billy's Hope, trained by Mrs John Harrington (Race 5)(Injury)

085A JLT H'cap H'dle

P. Townend, rider of Le Vagabond (FR) trained by E. J. O'Grady, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount suffered significant interference after the fourth last due to a faller.

085B Pigsback.com Nick Coen Mem H'cap S'chase

R.Johnson, rider of Bold Henry (GB) trained by Philip Hobbs (in GB), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount felt unsound and pulled up but felt sound on returning to the unsaddling area.

D.F. O'Regan, rider of Tully East, trained by Alan Fleming, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount pulled up having gone lame.

P.T. Enright, rider of Just Get Cracking trained by James Daniel Dullea, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly.

The Stewards interviewed R.C. Colgan, rider of Caolaneoin, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.4. by failing to give his mount time to respond to the whip and having considered his record the Stewards cautioned him.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Tully East, trained by Alan Fleming, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have sustained a wound to his right hind cannon but was otherwise post race normal.

085C Friends First S'chase (La Touche Cup)

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Buddy Bolero trained by A.J.Martin was found to have burst blood vessels.

A.E. Lynch, rider of Ruben Cotter trained by Peter Maher, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount found the ground too quick.

The Stewards interviewed J.J. Slevin, rider of First Lieutenant, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and from Dr. Lynn Hillyer, M.R.C.V.S. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found J.J. Slevin in breach of Reg 10 3.(f) by using his whip with excessive force and Reg 10. 2. by using a worn whip and having taken his record into account suspended him for 21 racedays and referred him to RACE for 2 days instruction in the correct use of the whip.

The Stewards wished to interview B.M. Cash, rider of Treo Eile, concerning his use of the whip in this race. The Stewards were unable to conduct the enquiry as the rider had already left the racecourse and referred the matter to the Referrals Committee in accordance with Rule 14 (ii) (b).

085D Ladbrokes Champion Stayers H'dle

M.P. Walsh, rider of Sutton Place trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled up lame.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Sutton Place, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on his right fore leg.

085E Shamrock Enterprises H'cap H'dle

R. Walsh, rider of Kate Appleby Shoes trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount didn't handle today's going and pulled up.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Kate Appleby Shoes, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

085H Kildare Post (C & G) INH Flat Race

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Rathcannon trained by R.P. McNamara was found to have burst blood vessels post race.

Mr F. Maguire, rider of Rathcannon, trained by R.P. McNamara, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung left.
