The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Gordon Elliott, trainer of Euclyde Dubreau (FR) (Declared in error) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

C.P. McNamara replaced O.R. Brown on High Sparrow, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien (Race 4)(Stewards permission).

033A Final Festival Ticket Deal M'dn H'dle

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Shortcross Storm trained by J.G.Cosgrave, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hated the underfoot conditions.

The Stewards requested a report from Gordon Elliott, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Elusive Rebeldom, placed first, as compared with its recent run. Gordon Elliot reported that his charge ran well to the end of the back straight at Cork before losing his place and since then he was withdrawn at Limerick on the 30th January having bolted on the way to the start. Today a hood was fitted and this had the desired effect by allowing the animal to settle and be produced with a run in the closing stages. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

033B I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF M'dn H'dle

P.J. Cawley, rider of Lou Trek (FR) trained by Patrick G.Kelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel during this race.

S.D. Torrens, rider of Not So Simple trained by Norman Lee, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left during this race.

Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards allowed Attitash, trained by S.J. Treacy, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the error identified in the certification of vaccinations would be corrected in accordance with Rule 91 within the timeframe specified.

033C Quevega (Mares) H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Laurina (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

033D Pertemps Network Group H'cap H'dle

The Stewards received a report from O.R Brown , nominated rider of High Sparrow , that he would be unable to weigh out at the correct weight which included a 2lb overweight possibility as declared under Rule 195 (i). Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he had been injured in recent weeks and his weight had escalated during that time. He added that he had accepted the ride but realised this morning that he was in difficulty with his weight. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that O.R Brown was in breach of Rule 195 and Rule 198 (vii). Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended O.R Brown for 3 racedays .

033E Ten Weeks To Punchestown (M) M'dn H'dle

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Ballela To Moscow trained by J.G.Cosgrave, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped very quickly.

033F New Summer In Town Racing H'cap H'dle

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. Hugh Hynes, that O.R. Brown, nominated rider of Stoughan Cross, had presented himself at scales to weigh out at 2lbs overweight which was not previously declared under Rule 195. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned in the presence of Thomas Gibney, trainer of Stoughhan Cross. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that O.R. Brown was in breach of Rule 198 (vii). Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended O.R. Brown for 5 racedays. The Stewards allowed O.R. Brown to ride Stoughan Cross.

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Hide Out trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount gurgled from three furlongs out.

033G Sporting Hospitality INH Flat Race

Mr. T. Hamilton, rider of Cathmart Desjy (FR), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stumbled and fell over for no apparent reason and independent of any other horse.

Mr R. Deegan, rider of Kyubi, trained by P.J.F. Murphy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount cocked her jaw, ran through a wing marking the course and unseated him.

Mr D.T. Hyde, rider of L'intemporel (FR), trained by M.F.Morris, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ducked when Kyubi collided with a wing marking the course and unseated him.
