The Stewards interviewed Gordon Elliott, trainer, in relation to the reason offered (ground) and the late withdrawal (12.46 p.m) for his charge Samcro. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that he had walked the track yesterday evening and again prior to racing today. He complimented the work that had gone into watering the track but reached his decision on the grounds that the going was quicker when racing down the hill and again when leaving the back straight. In his opinion the warm temperature today was causing the ground to dry and while he was very keen to run, he felt that the withdrawal of Samcro was in the horse's best interests. He confirmed that Samcro was present at the track. In view of the reasons given, the Stewards accepted the explanation.

Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings' and took no further action in this regard. They noted that D.J. Mullins had used the whip in the forehand position down the shoulder during the same part of the race but accepted his reason for doing so.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference after the last hurdle involving Cuneo (FR), ridden by Rachael Blackmore, placed first and Relegate, ridden by R. Walsh, placed third, where it appeared that Cuneo (FR) landed to the left and impeded Relegate. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Cuneo (Fr) had improved it's placing in relation to Relegate with which it interfered and therefore reversed the placings of these horses with the amended result to read; 1st Satoshi, 2nd Relegate, 3rd Cuneo (FR).
