The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

J.P. Murtagh, trainer of Ice Bullet (Off Feed) - €200

275A Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

An authorised representative of W.T. Farrell, trainer of Katie O'Hara, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge showed signs of being in season, post race.

275B Sequence Events M'dn

The Stewards interviewed Amy O'Hanlon, rider of Al Batal (GB), concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg. 10. 3.(g) by using the whip with the arm above shoulder height and having taken her good record into account cautioned the rider.

The Stewards requested a report from Edward Lynam, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Hot Stone, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that this filly was returning to maiden company from handicap company last time. The testing ground at Listowel ended up being less than ideal compared to today's surface and she was also tried without any headgear today. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

275C Club Active Gym H'cap

D.P. McDonogh, rider of First Bombardment (GB) trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got upset in stalls and missed the break.

275E Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

The Stewards informed Paul W. Flynn, trainer that Arayacan, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards interviewed D.A. McCormack, rider of Ciao, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards accepted the rider's explanation regarding his use of the whip in the forehand position but found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency and having taken his good record into account cautioned the rider.

R. Coakley, rider of Arayacan, trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was very fractious in the stalls, he signalled to the starter that he was ready to go but his mount reared as the gates opened and he had no chance to keep the partnership intact.

275F Troytown Bar Apprentice H'cap

A.J. Farragher, rider of Cache Queen, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slow away, didn't travel and didn't pick up in the straight.

S.M. Crosse, rider of Pedisnap, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got no run in the straight.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Cache Queen, trained by Adrian McGuinness, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
Samples were taken for analysis.

275G1 Racing Again October 14th H'cap

The Stewards fined K.J. Condon, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Cork Harbour, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of horse name in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (iv).
