The following trainers were fined €200 for the non-notification of a Veterinary Certificate in accordance with the provision of Rule 194(v) (vi):

Mrs John Harrington for Press Conference at Navan 19th January 2019.

Martin Hassett for Mary Frances at Navan 19th January 2019.

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D.J. Mullins replaced G.N. Fox on Darver Star, trained by Gavin Cromwell (Race 2)(Unwell)

013A 2019 Navan Membership Rated Novice H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Smoking Gun, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

013B www.navanracecourse.ie M'dn H'dle

B. Hayes, rider of Sophie's Best trained by P.Meany, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran very green.

A. Ring, rider of Manomine (GB) trained by R. K. Watson, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made mistakes jumping.

The Stewards informed S.J.Mahon, trainer of Larry Tully, that his charge could be liable for suspension if it should repeat any unruly behaviour when attempting to start in future races

P.E. Corbett, rider of Scaramucci, trained by Philip Fenton, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran one paced and failed to quicken.

D.G. Hogan, rider of Lady Writer trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount checked off heels before the turn into the straight.

013E Race Displays Event Signage Beg. S'chase

The Stewards interviewed S.W. Flanagan, rider of Stoneford, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that S.W. Flanagan was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned S.W. Flanagan.

The Stewards interviewed S.W. Flanagan, rider of Stoneford, following a report from the IHRB Veterinary Officer having examined the animal post race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that S.W. Flanagan was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive force. Having considered his previous record, the Stewards suspended S.W. Flanagan for 1 raceday.

013F Race Displays Event Signage Hcap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Doldido, trained by Michael Winters, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J.S. McGarvey, rider of Doldido trained by Michael Winters, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly and was pulled up.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Cap'n, trained by Paul W. Flynn, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
