079A Navan Welcomes Owners Today H'cap

C.R. King, rider of La Canaada, trained by H.Rogers, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly right handed.

079B Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

W.M. Lordan, rider of Know (USA), trained by David Wachman, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran green early on and stayed on well in the closing stages.

P.J. Smullen, rider of Rich Jade (USA), trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost ground on leaving the stalls.

079E Seamus McCarville 20th Anniversary H'cap

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Annadiamond, trained by Garrett James Power, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards interviewed J.L. Joyce, rider of Pleasing Sunset, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3.(g), in that he had used his whip with the arm above shoulder height and having considered his record, they suspended him for one race day.

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. W. Fleming, regarding the failure of C.P. Hoban, rider of Breenainthemycra, placed fifth to weigh in after this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 227 and having considered his record, they severely cautioned him. Furthermore, the Stewards disqualified Breenainthemycra from fifth place.

079F #20 Family Day Ticket (Fillies) M'dn

G.F. Carroll, rider of Havinaconniption (GB), trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he checked his mount in running about one and a half furlongs out.

C.T. Keane, rider of When In Doubt (GB), trained by G.M.Lyons, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran very green.
