The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

A.P.O'Brien, trainer of Music Box (Declared in error) - €200
J.F. Levins, trainer of Sixtyfiveroses (Going) - €200
J. S. Bolger, trainer of Traidisiun (Declared in error) - €320

178A Barbecue Evening Claiming Race

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Buffalo Blues (GB), ridden by C.T. Keane, placed first and Future Frontier, ridden by A.J. Breslin, faller, where it appeared interference may have occured. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mrs Pauline Condon, Authorised representative of K.J. Condon, trainer of Future Frontier, attended this enquiry. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found C.T. Keane to be in breach of Rule 214 in that he rode carelessly. Having considered his very good record in this regard, the Stewards suspended C.T. Keane for one raceday.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Buffalo Blues (GB), trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have abrasions to both hocks post race.

178B Emerald Facility Services Apprentice Hcp

C.J. McGovern, rider of Rummaging trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped in the early stages of this race and that he rode the latter stages without his irons.

178C Lynn Lodge Stud M'dn

The Stewards requested a report from J.A. Stack, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of He's Complete (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mr. Sean Hennessy, authorised representative of J.A. Stack, was of the opinion that the first time application of blinkers aided his charge. Having considered the report the Stewards noted its content.

D.M. Simmonson, rider of Swish, trained by John James Feane, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount found the ground too quick.

178F Navan Members H'cap

W.M. Lordan, rider of Calm Bay trained by H.Rogers, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount slipped behind coming out of the stalls.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Kiss The Stars trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got a bump one furlong out.
