The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

M.D. O'Callaghan, trainer of Now Or Never (ground) - €200

171A Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

The Stewards informed Kevin Prendergast, trainer that Sufoof, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards interviewed D. O'Brien, rider of Apache Gold, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned in the presence of John J Walsh, trainer, who accompanied the rider in the stewards room. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered his record, suspended him for one race day.

171E Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Athassel (CAN), ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed fourth, Current State, ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed first and Diamond Rio, ridden by R.P. Cleary, placed third. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was accidental and took no further action.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Athassel (CAN) trained by Ms. Carolyn Costigan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was bumped in the straight.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Diamond Rio trained by Anthony Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was bumped in the straight.

171F Micheal Higgins & Co H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Algonquin (GB), ridden by K.J. Manning, placed first, Ningxai, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed fourth and Gregoria, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, unplaced. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was accidental and took no further action.

Mrs John Harrington, trainer of Gregoria, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her charge was found to be in season post race.

171G REA Coonan Agents Supporting Console Hcp

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Multiculture, trained by John Joseph Murphy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
