The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined A Grey Matter, trained by Martin Brassil, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

T.M. Walsh, trainer of Champagne James, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge lost a hind shoe in running

The Stewards interviewed R.C. Colgan, rider of Lean Araig, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered his record, suspended him for four race days.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Max Dynamite (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal post race normal.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Aminabad (FR), at the request of trainer, W.P. Mullins, and reported the animal distressed post race.

D.N. Russell, rider of Kilcrea trained by James Joseph Mangan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in running.
