249A Naas Racecourse Claiming Race

The Stewards enquired into possible interference over one furlong from the finish and later about 200 yards from the finish involving Zoffany's Delight, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed second, Styledome, ridden by R.C. Colgan, placed fifth (dead heat) and Mass Gathering, ridden by M.A. Enright, placed first, where it appeared in the first incident that Zoffany's Delight had made contact with Mass Gathering and in the later incident Mass Gathering had made contact with Zoffany's Delight who in turn collided with Styledome. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings. They considered that any interference was accidental in nature and took no further action.

249B Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

The Stewards enquired into an incident over one furlong from the finish involving Alarm Call (GB), ridden by C.T. Keane, placed fourth, Kharma, ridden by M.A. Gallagher, unplaced and Let It Bea, ridden by S. Foley, unplaced, where it appeared that Kharma manoeuvered left and both Alarm Call (GB) and Let It Bea checked in running. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference caused was accidental in nature and took no further action. Mrs. T.K. Cooper, Acting Steward,absented herself from this enquiry.

S. Foley, rider of Let It Bea trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right from the half way point.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Russian River trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran disappointingly.

249C Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C & G) Mdn

The Stewards enquired into an incident inside the two furlong marker involving Ceapach Rua (FR), ridden by James J. Doyle, unplaced and Yulong De Legend, ridden by S. Foley, placed fourth, where it appeared that Ceapach Rua (FR) met with interference when Yulong The Legend manoeuvered out from behind Hype. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that S.Foley caused the incident by riding carelessly, this being a breach of Rule 214. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended S. Foley for 2 racedays. Mrs. T.K. Cooper, Acting Steward, absented herself from this enquiry.

The Stewards reviewed an incident about one furlong from the finish involving Ceapach Rua (FR), ridden by James J. Doyle, unplaced and Lincoln Hawk, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed fifth. Having reviewed the recording and considered the matter, the Stewards decided that no further action was warranted

249E Naas Nursery H'cap

At the request of the Stewards, A.J. Farragher, rider of Bell Ex One, trained by R.P.Cody, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jinked to the left having gone about 100 yards out of the starting stalls.

The Stewards reviewed an incident about 200 yards from the finish involving Montenotte (GB), ridden by R.C. Colgan, unplaced and Bell Ex One, ridden by A.J. Farragher, unplaced, where it appeared that Bell Ex One checked off Montenotte (GB). Having reviewed the recording and considered the matter, the Stewards decided that no further action was warranted.

249F Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

The Stewards informed John Joseph Murphy, trainer that Talons Of Steel, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
