The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

Ross O'Sullivan, trainer of Ask Carla (Late withdrawal - temperature) - €200
Francis J. Flood, trainer of It's Only A Number (Late withdrawal - coughing) - €200.

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

B.J. Foley replaced L. Quinlan on Rightplacerightime, trained by Kevin F.O'Donnell (Race 1)(Unwell)
S.J. Gray replaced C.A. Landers on Royal Recital, trained by Andrew Slattery (Race 3)(Injured).

Owing to the low lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for hurdles # 1 and 2 (the 2 hurdles in the straight) to be omitted from this race

348B Des Hipwell Naas Member M'dn Hdle

Owing to the low lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for hurdles # 1 and 2 (the 2 hurdles in the straight) to be omitted from this race.

The Stewards enquired into an incident from the time that the final hurdle was bypassed involving Capilano Bridge, ridden by R.A. Doyle, placed second and Rightplacerightime, ridden by B.J. Foley, placed first, where it appeared that Rightplacerightime was hampered when racing close to the running rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by R.A. Doyle riding carelessly, this being a breach of Rule 214. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended R.A. Doyle for 4 racedays

H. Morgan, rider of Hide Out trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.

348C Clinton Higgins (Mares) M'dn H'dle

Owing to the low lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for hurdles # 1 and 2 (the 2 hurdles in the straight) to be omitted from this race

A. McCurtin, rider of Dylan Rock trained by Sean O. O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having got very tired.

The Stewards received a report from Nick Tarrant, IHRB Doping Control Officer that Alan King, rider, had failed to submit to a dope test having being notified both verbally and in writing in accordance with the provisions of R 7. He confirmed that he had subsequently made contact with the rider who admitted to having long left the racecourse. Having considered the report, the Stewards referred the matter to The Referrals Committee.

348D Lawlors Of Naas H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into possible interference about 150 yards from the finish involving All About Alfie, ridden by P.E. Corbett, placed first and Olive D'haguenet (FR), ridden by D.E. Mullins, placed third, where it appeared that Olive D'haguenet (FR) received interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final 100 yards involving Eagle Roque (FR), ridden by B.J. Cooper, placed second and Olive D'haguenet (FR), ridden by D.E. Mullins, placed third, where it appeared that Olive D'haguenet (FR) received interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action.

The Stewards interviewed B.J. Cooper, rider of Eagle Roque (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that B.J. Cooper was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended B.J. Cooper for 1 raceday.

B.J. Cooper, rider of Eagle Roque (FR), trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his saddle slipped back in the straight.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Vinabell, trained by Shane Nolan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race.

At the request of the Stewards, E. O'Connell, rider of Vinabell, trained by Shane Nolan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount blew up before the turn into the straight, got a second wind and stayed on in the closing stages.

A.L.T.Moore, trainer of Midland Millie, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge was found to have kickbach on endoscopic examination.

The Stewards interviewed P.E. Corbett, rider of All About Alfie, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that P.E. Corbett was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having considered his previous record and pursuant to R10(6), the Stewards suspended P.E. Corbett for 6 racedays.

348E Kildare Post & Kildare Now Beg S'chase

Owing to the low lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for fences # 1 and 2 (the 2 fences in the straight) to be omitted from this race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Press Conference, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be stiff behind post race.

348F Naas Nursery Of Champions H'cap S'chase

Owing to the low lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for fences # 1 and 2 (the 2 fences in the straight) to be omitted from this race

348G I.S.F. EBF (Mares) INH Flat Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Daphne Moon, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
