The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

Miss Ellmarie Holden, trainer of Dawn Choir (GB) (High temperature)(late withdrawal) - €200 .
Michael Winters, trainer of Theos Well (GB) (Nasal discharge)(late withdrawal)) - €320

291A Tifrums Irish EBF (C&G) M'dn

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Lost Treasure, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

291B Rathasker Stud Irish EBF (Fillies) M'dn

W.J. Lee, rider of Rapid Reaction, trained by J.F.Grogan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran very keen in the early part of this race, tired and failed to stay the trip before being eased in the final furlong.

291D Foran Equine Irish EBF Auct. Race Final

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Ball Girl, trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Red Persian trained by P.J.Prendergast, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was hampered coming out of the stalls.

291E Clodovil Irish EBF Garnet Stakes

The Stewards enquired into an incident about 200 yards from the finish involving Sister Blandina, ridden by S. Foley, unplaced and Elegant Pose, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed first, where it appeared that Sister Blandina may have received interference when Elegant Pose manoeuvred out to deliver a challenge. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.

291F Hospitality At Naas Apprentice H'cap

The Stewards interviewed A.J. Slattery, rider of Molten Gold (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the last three furlongs of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that A.J. Slattery was in breach of R(10)(3)(b) by the unnecessary hitting of his mount after his chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone and therefore cautioned him having taken his inexperience into consideration. Andrew Slattery, Master of A.J. Slattery, attended this enquiry.

The Stewards interviewed M.L. Melia, rider of Wat Tyler (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the last three furlongs of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that M.L. Melia was in breach of R10(3)(b) by the unnecessary hitting of his mount after his chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone and therefore cautioned him having taken his inexperience into consideration. Donal Kinsella, trainer of Wat Tyler (GB), attended this enquiry.

W.M. Lordan, rider of Giorni Felice, trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was unable to quicken in the ground and lugged in towards the running rail in the latter stages of this race.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Giorni Felice, trained by Edward Lynam, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

291H Anjaal Irish EBF Bluebell Stakes

The Stewards interviewed D.P. McDonogh, rider of Red Stars, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion D.P. McDonogh was in breach of Regulation 10 3 (f) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency and having taken his record into account, they cautioned him accordingly.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Dew Line, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed third, Red Stars, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed first, Detailed, ridden by D. O'Brien, placed dead heat for fourth and High Language, ridden by M.C. Hussey, placed seventh, where it appeared that horses rolled and interference took place. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.

The Stewards interviewed G.F. Carroll, rider of Dew Line, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that G.F. Carroll was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency and therefore suspended him for 2 racedays having taken his previous record into consideration.

The Stewards interviewed R.P. Downey, rider of Jeremys Joy, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that R.P. Downey was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency and therefore suspended him for 1 raceday having taken his previous record into consideration.

The Stewards interviewed C. O'Donoghue, rider of Tilly's Chilli, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that C. O'Donoghue was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency and therefore suspended him for 2 racedays having taken his previous record into consideration.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Longing, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
