The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.S. McGarvey rode Demi Plie (reserve), trained by Padraig Roche (Race 4)

254A Kerry Group 3-Y-O H'dle

The Stewards fined John Joseph Hanlon, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Uncle Noble (USA), in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Uncle Noble (USA) in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (iv).

The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Let It Go Papa, trained by Adrian Paul Keatley, for failing to lodge the passport in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).

254C Charleville Cheese M'dn H'dle

The Stewards interviewed D.G. Hogan, rider of Macgiloney, where it appeared the rider had used his whip after passing the winning post. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that his head was down in a driving position and he was unaware of his actions at the time. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(d) in that he had used his whip after the winning post had been reached. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards cautioned D.G. Hogan on this occasion.

D.J. McInerney, rider of Indian Air trained by P.M.Lynch, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped and he pulled his mount up thereafter.

John Patrick Ryan, trainer of Brooks Falls, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge was found to be injured post race.

254D Low Low Irish EBF (Mares) H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lockeen Girl, trained by Thomas Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.

D.J. Mullins, rider of Lockeen Girl trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount tired quickly and was pulled up thereafter. He subsequent reported that the animal was found to have burst a blood vessel following endoscopic examination by the Racecourse Veterinary Surgeon.

254F Kerry Group H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mill Quest, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have bruised the right fore heel and was also found to have spread the left fore shoe.

P. Townend, rider of Draycott Place trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled and was pulled up thereafter.

M.A. Enright, rider of Mill Quest trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

J.S. McGarvey, rider of Ask Susan trained by John W. Nicholson, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled and lost a shoe in running.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ask Susan, trained by John W. Nicholson, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have lost a shoe but to be otherwise post race normal.

John W. Nicholson, trainer of Ask Susan, reported to the Office of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board on Monday 10th September that his charge was found to be in-season post race.

254G Kerry Group INH Flat Race

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Castletown Quary, ridden by Mr F. Maguire, placed third, Jack Valentine, ridden by Mr D. O'Connor, placed second and Scaglietti, ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed first. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings. They did, however, find that Mr P.W. Mullins was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record, cautioned him on this occasion. Furthermore, the Stewards reminded Mr F. Maguire of his responsibilities concerning the accuracy of his evidence while attending future enquiries.
