The following trainer was fined €200 for the non-notification of a Veterinary Certificate in accordance with the provision of Rule 194(v) (vi):

E. Bolger for Rose's In The Rain at Listowel 4th June 2018.

The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

W.J.Lanigan, trainer of Shantou Sisu (Off feed) - €200
John Joseph Hanlon, trainer of Mighty Stowaway (Ground) - €200
Patrick Neville, trainer of Rightville Boy (Ground) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Katie O'Farrell rode Sticky Situation (reserve) , trained by Patrick Neville (Race 2)
D.E. Mullins rode Thereisnodoubt (reserve) , trained by Augustine Leahy (Race 3)
B.J. Geraghty rode Giveittomestraight (reserve) , trained by E. Bolger (Race 4)

136A Kingdom (Mares) M'dn H'dle

The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Tsarina Sophia, trained by Diarmuid P. Ryan, for failing to lodge the passport in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).

The Stewards fined Peter Fahey, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Aimee Kate, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Aimee Kate in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(iv). .

G.N. Fox, rider of Biddy The Boss trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his iron broke going past the stands.

A.E. Lynch, rider of Ayr Of Elegance (GB) trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped.

Kevin O'Sullivan, trainer of Lyre Fun, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge burst a blood vessel.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Lyre Fun trained by Kevin O'Sullivan was found to have blood at the nose following exercised induced pulmonary haemorrhage.

136B John B. Keane (C & G) M'dn H'dle

R.M. Power, rider of The Rebel Knight, trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was very free early on, jumped indifferently, had no where to go leaving the back straight and thought he would stay on better in the home straight.

136C(ii) Mike Lawlee Memorial H'cap H'dle (Division Two)

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Grey Atlantic Way, trained by Edmond Daniel Linehan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

D.J. Mullins, rider of Bomber Jackson trained by Mrs. Y. Dunleavy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was blowing hard.

136D Harvest Festival 9th-15th Sept Hcap H'dl

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Park Paddocks, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards requested a report from John E. Kiely, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Ancient Sands, placed first, as compared with its recent form. John E. Kiely stated that his charge jumped slowly at the first and second hurdle last time out. He felt he never travelled on ground that was not ideal for his charge. Mr Kiely also felt his charge appreciated todays's ground conditions and this had brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation.

The Stewards informed Henry de Bromhead, trainer of Lion In His Heart, that a repeat performance in the behaviour of his charge who ran out, may render him liable for suspension in the future.

Rachael Blackmore, rider of Lion In His Heart trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount ran out.

136E John J. Galvin H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined A Rated, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be injured post race.

136F Listowel Supporters Club Hunters S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Minella For Value, trained by Declan Queally, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race. Samples were also taken for analysis.

The Stewards granted permission for a flag start in this race, owing to the position of the start.

136G Dr. Louis O'Carroll INH Flat Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Willing, trained by Joseph G. Murphy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.

Mr D.L. Queally, rider of Willing trained by Joseph G. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

Mr R.O. Harding, rider of No Holdenback trained by Augustine Leahy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost her action.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Macgiloney, ridden by Mr J. Hogan, placed second and The Red Menace, ridden by Mr M.J. O'Hare, placed first, where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found Mr. J. Hogan in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having taken his record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended Mr. J. Hogan for 1 raceday.
