The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

M.Halford, trainer of Betty Loch (GB) (off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

K.J. Leonard rode Scobias (GB) (reserve), trained by G. Webb (Race 6)
Karen Kenny rode Loughderg Princess (reserve), trained by F.Costello (Race 7)
Mr. N.F. Houlihan replaced Mr M.K. Tobin on Go Be A Hero, trained by Thomas P. Cummins (Race 8)(Stewards permission)

132A Irish Stallion Farms EBF Med Auction Mdn

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the straight involving Natty Dresser, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed fifth and Dream Of Words, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed sixth. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference was accidental, they made no alteration to the judge's placings and took no further action.

132B Croom House Stud Irish EBF (Fillies) Mdn

C. O'Donoghue, rider of Guthanna Gaoithe (GB) trained by P.D. Deegan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was hampered at the start.

The Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the final bend involving Nudge (GB), ridden by Adrian O'Shea, unplaced and New Terms (GB), ridden by K.J. Manning, unplaced. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards advised Adrian O'Shea to ride with more care in the future.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined New Terms (GB), trained by J. S. Bolger, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be stiff post race.

Tracey Collins, trainer of Three Sisters (GB), reported to the Clerk of Scales that her charge was blowing hard post race.

132D(i) St. John's Literary Centre H'cap (Division One)

G.P. Halpin, rider of Serendib's Glory trained by Donal Commins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

S. Foley, rider of Song Of The Sky (GB) trained by John Joseph Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left.

132D(ii) St. John's Literary Centre H'cap (Division Two)

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Shepherds Crook (GB), ridden by G.F. Carroll, unplaced, Dressednblack, ridden by C.D. Hayes, unplaced and Kilteery Pier, ridden by K.J. Leonard, unplaced, where it appeared Kilteery Pier had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was accidental and took no further action.

The Stewards fined Liam Roche, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Lightening Stricks, the winner of this race, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91.

132F Follow Listowel Races On Facebook H'cap

The Stewards requested a report from W.T. Farrell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Orangey Red, placed first, as compared with its most recent form. The trainer reported that his charge had disappointed the last day when never travelling at Gowran Park on soft ground. He felt that a combination of better ground conditions and the removal of blinkers today in what he felt was a slightly lesser race, had brought about the improved performance. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

132G Bryan MacMahon (QR) Race

The Stewards received a request from Thomas P. Cummins, trainer of Go Be A Hero, to substitute the nominated rider Mr M.K. Tobin, with Mr N.F. Houlihan, as the nominated rider was unable to do the weight. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the late nomination, but in light of the fact that Mr M.K. Tobin was not present and available for interview, they referred the matter to The Chief Executive of the Turf Club for further investigation.

The Stewards received a request from James Coyle, trainer, to reinstate Dottie Lottie in the sixth race having mistakingly withdrew his charge a few minutes earlier. Having considered the request, the Stewards reinstated Dottie Lottie under the provisions of Rule 194 (ix) and reminded the trainer of his future responsibilities in this regard.
