The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

Matthew J. Smith, trainer of Empresario (declared in error) - €200
E. Bolger, trainer of Wee Gaza (off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Miss Niamh Fahey replaced Miss A. Fahey on Jennies Jewel, trained by Jarlath P.Fahey (Race 8)(unwell)

259B Charlie Chute Memorial H'cap S'chase

M.P. Walsh, rider of Baby Whizz, trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a mistake at the fifth last and never travelled thereafter.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Baby Whizz, trained by Thomas Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

259D John Lynch Memorial M'dn H'dle

M.P. Butler, rider of The Visitor, trained by Eoin Doyle, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount pulled up lame.

259E Cashen Novice H'dle

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Rae's Creek (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be stiff post race.

M.P. Walsh, rider of Rae's Creek (GB) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost his action after the third last and was pulled up.

259G Ballygrennane (Mares)(P-A) INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Miss K. Harrington, rider of Gee Gee Robyn, concerning her use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f) , in that she used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered her record, cautioned her concerning her future responsibilities in this regard.

259H Lis.Races Supp.Club Slan Abhaile(QR)Race

The Stewards interviewed Miss Niamh Fahey, rider of Jennies Jewel, concerning her use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that she used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered her record, cautioned her concerning her future responsibilities in this regard.

The Stewards enquired into an incident involving Marchese Marconi, ridden by Miss S. O'Brien, placed fifth, Ted Veale, ridden by Miss M. O'Sullivan, placed third and Jennies Jewel, ridden by Miss Niamh Fahey, placed fourth. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Miss Fahey was in breach of Rule 214, in that she rode carelessly and having considered her record and lack of experience, suspended her for one race day.
