The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

K.C. Sexton replaced P. Carberry on Ibsen, trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 6)(Injured)
D.F. O' Regan replaced R.M. Power on Holy Water, trained by Mrs John Harrington (Race 4)(Injured)
M.J. Bolger replaced R.M. Power on Flaviana, trained by Mrs John Harrington (Race 5)(Injured)

259B Charlie Chute Memorial (Q.R.) H'cap S'ch

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Five O'clock Tea (FR), trained by A.J. Martin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race. Samples were taken for analysis.

The Stewards interviewed Mr P.J. Cawley, rider of Mark Me Up (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.4, in that he had failed to give his mount sufficient time to respond and Regulation 10. 3(g), in that he had used his whip with the arm above shoulder height. Having considered his previous good record, the Stewards cautioned him.

259C Beasley Engineering Limited H'cap Schase

K.C. Sexton, rider of Coolnagorna Giggs trained by T.Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not act on the ground, was hampered and pulled up thereafter.

S.W. Flanagan, rider of Springbelle, trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jumped slow and never travelled.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Springbelle, trained by David Harry Kelly, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

259D John Lynch Memorial M'dn H'dle

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Oighear Dubh, trained by A.J.Martin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

P. Townend, rider of Full Batten, trained by Edmond Kent, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jumped very deliberate, ran very green and thought about running towards the wing at the second last hurdle.

D. Meyler, rider of Oighear Dubh, trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran very flat throughout.

259E Michael McElligott Memorial Novice H'dle

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Escape Footwear, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

259H Lis.Races Supp.Club Slan Abhaile(QR)Race

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Rebel Fitz (FR), trained by Michael Winters, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

Mr M.J. O'Connor, rider of Rebel Fitz (FR) trained by Michael Winters, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount boiled over before the race.
