The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Aim For Glory, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed third and Freetown, ridden by D. O'Brien, placed fifth, where it appeared that Freetown ran short of room on the rails and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings, however reminded W.J. Lee of his future responsibilities in this regard.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined I Will Follow (FR), trained by Martin Brassil, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

The Stewards requested a report from V. T. O'Brien, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Oh'herewego, placed first, as compared with its recent form. V.T. O' Brien's charge, he was more comfortable in running and jumped better. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
