The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Ms. L. O'Neill rode All Hell Let Loose (reserve) , trained by Henry de Bromhead (Race 5)
A.W. Short replaced C.J. Orr on Whatsyourstatus, trained by Gearoid O'Loughlin (Race 7)(Family bereavement)

257A Exchange Inn & Kevins Bar Irish EBF M'dn

The Stewards informed Augustine Leahy, trainer that Drombeg Duke, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

257E Guinness Kerry National H'cap S'chase

B.J. Geraghty, rider of Slowmotion (FR) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having never travelled during this race.

S.A. Shortall, rider of Vieux Morvan (FR) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having stopped quickly.

J.J. Burke, rider of Bay Of Freedom trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having never travelled during this race.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference between the final fence and the winning post involving Snow Falcon, ridden by J.M. Moore, placed first and Saturnas (FR), ridden by P. Townend, placed second, where it appeared that Snow Falcon came off a straight line and drifted right towards Saturnas (FR) . Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action.

The Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter,Mr. Derek Cullen, that D. Robinson, rider of A Rated and A.E. Lynch, rider of Call It Magic had caused a false start by failing to comply with his instructions. Evidence was heard from the starter and riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the false start and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to advise both riders concerning their responsibility to comply with the starters instructions.

257G M.S.D. Animal Health M'dn H'dle

The Stewards fined C.Byrnes, trainer, €65 for failing to fit cheek pieces to Toulson (GB), prior to entering the parade ring.

257H Listowel Vintners Assoc. INH Flat Race

The Stewards wished to enquire into possible interference about one and a half furlongs from the finish involving Doctor Duffy, ridden by Mr R. Deegan, a faller and Eileen O, ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed second, where it appeared that Doctor Duffy ran short of room and fell. Owing to the injury sustained by Mr Deegan in the fall, the IHRB Medical Officer informed the Stewards that Mr. Deegan was unfit to give evidence at this enquiry and in the circumstances the Stewards referred the matter to the Referrals Committee.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the latter stages of this race involving Dancing In The Sky, ridden by Mr T.D. Hyde, placed third and Eileen O, ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed second . Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action.
