The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

S.J.Mahon, trainer of Afatcat (GB) (Vaccinations demonstrably incorrect) - €350

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

P.E. Corbett replaced R. Loughran on Our Nest Egg, trained by W. F. Treacy (Race 1)(Injured)

175A Limerick Racecourse Family Fun M'dn H'dl

P.Cluskey, trainer of Knockatoo Hill, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge scoped badly and burst.

175C Irish Stallion Farms EBF H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined High Nellie, trained by Michael J. Bowe, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Carlitos Bay, trained by Peter Fahey, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

C.A. Landers, rider of High Nellie trained by Michael J. Bowe, reported to the Clerk of Scales that the ground was too firm for his mount.

D.N. Russell, rider of Carlitos Bay trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

The Stewards enquired into two seperate incidents, the first approaching the second last hurdle involving Tulsa Jack, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, and Wee Tiger, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, and the second incident approaching the last hurdle involving Tulsa Jack, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, and Jefferson Davis, ridden by D. Meyler. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.

175E Cliona Hagan Plays 26th July Beg S'chase

D.F. O'Regan, rider of Ceide Fields (GB) trained by S.J.Mahon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped and pulled up thereafter.

The Stewards interviewed A. McCurtin, rider of D'bru Na Boinne (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards advised the rider with regard to his future use of the whip.

175F Galway Plate Trial H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Phil The Flyer trained by Ray Hackett was found to have blood at the nose following exercised induced pulmonary haemorrhage.

J.S. McGarvey, rider of The Gatechecker trained by Michael Hourigan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount cocked his jaw and ran out.

Katie O'Farrell, rider of Phil The Flyer trained by Ray Hackett, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount burst a blood vessel.

The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Snugsborough Benny, ridden by D.F. O'Regan, and trained by Liam P Cusack. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. D.F. O'Regan, stated that his instructions were to drop in, get his mount settled and to do the best he could. He said his mount was further back than he would have liked owing to the slow pace of the race and failed to travel down the hill after he was caught behind other runners. He said his mount travelled well to the second last, but felt he needed to hold his mount at this stage as he feared he might run out. He added that his mount jumped the second last slowly which he felt cost him the race. He concluded by saying that he had no luck in running. Liam P Cusack, confirmed the instructions and expressed his satisfaction with the ride. He said his charge appeared to run around on the approach to the second last which he felt cost him the race. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, who stated that the Snugsborough Benny was found to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Snugsborough Benny, trained by Liam P Cusack, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were also taken for analysis.

The Stewards informed Michael Hourigan, trainer of The Gatechecker, that a repeat performance of the behaviour of his charge in future, may liable the animal to suspension.

175G Irish Stallion Farms EBF (M) Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr H.D. Dunne, rider of Money For Honey, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous in this regard into account,the Stewards suspended Mr. H.D. Dunne for 5 racedays.
