The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

Ms. Sandra Hughes, trainer of Ashes Of Love (Change in going) - €200
Ms. Debbie Hartnett, trainer of Lord Kenmare (USA) (Change in going) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

R.C. Colgan rode Lost Book (reserve) , trained by S.J.Mahon (Race 3)
D.J. Mullins replaced A.F. O'Neill on Bishops Road, trained by Henry de Bromhead (Race 6)(Injured).
S.A. Shortall replaced A.F. O'Neill on Bashful Beauty, trained by Norman Lee (Race 3)(Injured).
A.E. Lynch replaced B.T. O'Connell on Wate And Sea, trained by John J. Walsh (Race 3)(Unwell)

168A Celebrating The 4th July M'dn H'dle

The Stewards interviewed B.T. O'Connell, rider of Whiskey No Ice, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found B.T. O'Connell in breach of Reg 10 3. (g) by using the whip with the arm over shoulder height and having taken his record into account suspended him for three race days.

John Gerard Fitzgerald, trainer of Cliffords Reprieve (GB), reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge made a respiratory noise in-running and pulled up

K.M. Donoghue, rider of Royal Boru trained by Mrs Gillian Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in-running and pulled up.

168D Supermacs Dooradoyle S'chase

The Stewards interviewed B. Hayes, rider of Abolitionist, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his saddle slipped back in this race. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found B. Hayes in breach of Reg. 10 3 (d) by using his whip after the Winning Post had been reached and having taken his record into account suspended him for two race days. The Stewards further found B. Hayes in breach of Rule 213 by failing to report in the first instance anything which might have affected the running of his horse and having taken his record into account suspended him for two race days.

S.J. Crimin, rider of Best Value trained by T.J. Nagle Jr., reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost its action and pulled up.

168G Irish Stallion Farms EBF (M) Flat Race

The Stewards received a report from Mr. P.L. Malone , Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr P.F. Casey , rider of Present Flower , weighed in at 1.8 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he drank some water after weighing out and this may have accounted for his overweight on weighing-in. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr P.F. Casey was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore suspended him for one race day.
