The Stewards received a report from the Turf Club Veterinary Officer, that the vaccinations for Samantha Bellamy, trained by Brian Francis Cawley, were incorrect for the second successive occasion. In accordance with Rule 90, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Samantha Bellamy and fined the trainer €350.

The Stewards fined Thomas Gibney, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Tara Mia, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

The Stewards interviewed Mr F. Maguire, rider of Knockraha Pride, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g), in that he had used his whip with the arm above shoulder height. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended him for 1 raceday.

348E O'Kelly Brothers (Mares) H'cap H'dle

The Stewards received a report from Mr. P.L. Malone, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that S. Perry, rider of Monastery, weighed out at 2 lbs overweight which was not declared. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, in the presence of Ian Amond, representing Gordon Elliott, trainer of Monastery. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the overweight on this occasion. They were, however, satisfied that S. Perry was in breach of Rule 198(vii) and having considered his record, issued a fine of €150.

The Stewards received a report from Mr. P.L. Malone, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr. H.D. Dunne, rider of Gracemount, weighed in at 1.1 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from Mr. P.L. Malone and from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. H.D. Dunne was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record in this regard, they cautioned him.

The Stewards interviewed S. Perry, rider of Monastery, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(a), and Regulation 10.3(f). Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended him for 4 racedays and ordered that he attend R.A.C.E. for 1 days tuition on the correct use of the whip. Furthermore, the Stewards cautioned S. Perry with regard to the accuracy of his evidence.

E. O'Connell, rider of Bluegrass Princess trained by Eamonn O'Connell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his reins broke before pulling up.

D.J. Mullins, rider of Flemenstorm trained by Edward Cawley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped badly.
