The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Mr P.W. Mullins replaced Mr D.G. Lavery on Thegreatestreward, trained by Ms Margaret Mullins (Race 7)(unwell)
A. Ring replaced C.D. Timmons on Drop Anchor, trained by Edward Cawley (Race 6)(injured)
Mr. E.P. O'Brien rode Masons Daughter, trained by Philip O'Connor (Race 7)(see enquiry).

The Stewards fined Peter Maher, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Joy's Gift, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

D.E. Splaine, rider of Sing Que Sera Sera trained by Vincent Clynch, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped right and struck the rail.

The Stewards fined Sarah Dawson, trainer, €350 for failing to lodge a passport in respect of Milan Diva, as required on the day under the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

David Peter Dunne, trainer of Dalmarella Dancer, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge was showing signs of being in season.

The Stewards informed David Peter Dunne, trainer of Dalmarella Dancer, that a repeat performance of the behaviour of his charge at the start such as todays, may render his charge liable for suspension in the future.

John Long, trainer of Mileys Dream, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge was left at the start and never travelled thereafter.

189C Irish Stallion Farms EBF H'cap H'dle

B. Hayes, rider of Glendine River trained by Dermot P. O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake with a circuit to go.

G.N. Fox, rider of Kennedys Mor trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst and following this, Kennedys Mor was examined by the Turf Club Veterinary Officer who reported the animal to have blood at the nose following exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage.

A.E. Lynch, rider of Prince Garyantle trained by Matthew J. Smith, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount gurgled on pulling up.

D.J. Mullins, rider of Small World trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the third.

The Stewards interviewed J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of The Rite Article, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(a), 10.3(f) and Regulation 10.4. Having taken his previous good record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended him for one raceday.

189E Michael English Plays July 27th Beg S'ch

The Stewards fined M.F.Morris, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Just Cause, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

189G Irish Stall Farms EBF (F) INH Flat Race

The Stewards fined Philip O'Connor, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Masons Daughter, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

The Stewards interviewed Philip O'Connor, trainer, concerning his failure to nominate a rider before the designated time for Masons Daughter. Evidence was heard from the trainer who explained the circumstances surrounding his failure and requested that Mr. E.P O'Brien ride his charge. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the nomination of Mr. E.P. O'Brien but found the trainer to be in breach of Regulation 3 and issued a fine of €200.
