The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Mr. L. Quinlan replaced J.W. Kennedy on Tisamystery, trained by Henry de Bromhead (Race 6)(injured)

347A Horse & Jockey Hotel M'dn H'dle

M.P. Walsh, rider of Manamite (FR) trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled and pulled up.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Manamite (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have atrial fibrillation.

The Stewards enquired into the apparent improvement in form of Ellie Mac, trained by Henry de Bromhead, placed, first compared with its recent form. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that she hung badly at Navan going left handed so subsequently ran her right handed at Cork where she finished 7th. He also stated that he ran her today with no expectations and can't put forward any other explanation. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation.

347B Thorntons Recycling M'dn H'dle

The Stewards enquired into possible interference on the final bend involving All For Joy, ridden by B. Browne, placed fourth, Canardier (FR), ridden by A.E. Lynch, placed fifth, Grotesque (GB), ridden by J.W. Kennedy, placed third and Paloma Blue, ridden by D.N. Russell, placed first, where it appeared that interference may have occured. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judge's placings and took no further action.

347D Cardinal Capital H'cap H'dle

The Stewards fined Rodger Sweeney, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Ineffable, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

D.E. Mullins, rider of Golden Jewel trained by Edward Cawley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a mistake at the second last hurdle.

The Stewards received a request from P.J. Rothwell's representative Mrs Niamh Rothwell, trainer of Coherent, to allow the nominated rider J.W. Kennedy permission to ride at two pound overweight. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed J.W. Kennedy permission to ride. However found J.W. Kennedy in breach of Rule 198 and having taken his previous record in this regard into account, suspended him for two race days.

347F Bet Through Racing Post App H'cap S'ch

The Stewards interviewed Mr. L. Quinlan, rider of Tisamystery, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards cautioned Mr. L. Quinlan with regard to the use of his whip in the future.

347G Lep Inn I.N.H. Flat Race

The Stewards enquired into the fall of The Shunter in this race and having received a report from his rider Mr. N. T. Prendergast who stated his mount ran free and clipped heels. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanation.

The Stewards received a report from Mr. P. W. Murtagh , Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr C. Fahy , rider of Pilot Station , weighed in at 1.1 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated the reason for this. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards cautioned him with regard to his future responsibilites .
