299A Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

C.P. Hoban, rider of Wingingit, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount had to check in running.

299B Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C & G) M'dn

The Stewards received a report from Ms.Joan Taylor, Turf Club Veterinary Officer, that World Tax War, trained by Mrs. John Harrington, appeared on the passport as a colt despite being a gelding. Having considered the report, the Stewards fined the trainer €130, in accordance with Rule 148(vi).

D. O'Brien, rider of Oedipus Rex, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount accidentally sustained an injury in running.

299C Trigo Stakes

C.D. Hayes, rider of My Brother trained by Lee Smyth, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount met with slight interference.

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Hibiscus trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount had to check in the straight.

299D Killavullan Stakes

K.J. Manning, rider of Holistic Approach, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount moved poorly.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Holistic Approach, at the request of trainer, J. S. Bolger, and reported the animal coughing post race.

299F Leopardstown Christmas Festival H'cap

The Stewards interviewed S.B. Kelly, rider of Jacobs Well, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered his record, cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard.

299G Flat Finale October 29th H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving Aimhirgin Lass, ridden by O.J. Orr, Elm Grove, ridden by W.J. Lee, Greanta, ridden by R.P. Downey, Afzal (FR), ridden by W.M. Lordan, and Athenry Boy, ridden by M.C. Hussey. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that R.P.Downey was in breach of Rule 214 in that he rode carelessly and having considered his record, suspended him for one race day.
