The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

R.P. McNamara, trainer of Instantaneous (Vaccinations demonstrably incorrect) - €350

191B Irish Stallion Farms EBF Med. Auct. M'dn

C. O'Donoghue, rider of Channel Stuffer (USA) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran green in the last two furlongs.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Channel Stuffer (USA), ridden by C. O'Donoghue, placed third, Motashakel, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed first and Syrena, ridden by D. O'Brien, placed second. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Clifftop (GB), trained by H.Rogers, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Clifftop (GB), ridden by R.P. Whelan, and trained by H.Rogers. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. R.P. Whelan, stated that his instructions were to settle his mount in the early stages as he can run free, to get him balanced and to do the best he could. He said his mount ran free early on before settling, met with slight interference turning for home and failed to quicken thereafter. He further added that his mount may not have appreciated today's ground. H.Rogers confirmed the instructions given and expressed his satisfaction with the ride. He said his charge can be a difficult individual and described him as very leggy. He was also of the opinion that his charge did not let himself down on the ground. The Stewards also received a report from he Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Clifftop (GB) was found to be post race normal. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

D.E. Sheehy, rider of Victorious Secret trained by Anthony Mulholland, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran keen and stumbled down the back.

K.J. Leonard, rider of Arbourfield, trained by Mrs Prunella Dobbs, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount checked two furlongs out.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Victorious Secret trained by Anthony Mulholland was found to be lame and have lost her right fore shoe.

The Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, Mr. W. Fleming, regarding the failure of N.M. Crosse, rider of Ar Saoirse (GB), placed sixth, to weigh in after this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and Mr. Tony Ennis, Assistant Clerk of the Scales. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards found N.M. Crosse in breach of Rule 227 in that he had failed to weigh in as required. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards cautioned him. Furthermore, the Stewards disqualified Ar Saoirse (GB) from sixth place under the provisions of Rule 230(ii).

The result now reads;

First: Secret Memories.
Second: Korbous.
Third: Dance Alone (GB).
Fourth: Coreczka.
Fifth: Storm Ranger.
Sixth: Feisty Katerina.

Anthony Mulholland, trainer of Victorious Secret, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge lost a shoe.

L.Dettori, rider of Hazapour, trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount arrived with his challenge but had no more to give and may not have appreciated the ground.

The Stewards requested a report from J. S. Bolger, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Turret Rocks, placed first, as compared with its most recent form. Mr. Ger Flynn, authorised representative for the trainer, reported that Turret Rocks settled well today in a race that was run at a fast pace and felt this had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

191F Leopardstown 'Summer Pass' H'cap

L.F. Roche, rider of Militry Decoration trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount moved badly throughout.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Gasta, ridden by W.T. Byrne, Betsey Trotter, ridden by D.P. McDonogh and Militry Decoration, ridden by L.F. Roche. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action. They were, however, of the opinion that D.P. McDonogh was in breach of Rule 213 in that he had failed to report at the first instance, something which may have affected the performance of his mount and cautioned him in this regard.

The Stewards informed E. J. O'Grady, trainer, that Parisian, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
