The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

A.P.O'Brien, trainer of Threeandfourpence (USA) (Off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

K.J. Manning replaced R.P. Cleary on Uluru Park, trained by Brendan W.Duke (Race 7)(Stewards permission)

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the latter stages of this race involving Focus Of Attention, ridden by D. O'Brien, placed fifth, Captain Power, ridden by S. Foley, placed second, Gottardo, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed fourth and Ducky Mallon, ridden by S.P. Davis, placed first, where it appeared that Focus Of Attention received interference causing her to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings'. They were, however, of the opinion that the interference was caused by S. Foley riding carelessly and suspended him for 1 raceday having taken his previous record into consideration.

D. O'Brien, rider of Focus Of Attention trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was tightened for room in the straight.

224C Waterboys Apprentice H'cap

Under the provisions of Rule 90 (iii), the Stewards allowed Two For Tea, trained by E. D. Delany, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the horse was correctly vaccinated in accordance with Rule 91.

The Stewards requested a report from John C. McConnell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Sheila's Hope, placed first, as compared with its recent run. John C. McConnell reported that his charge had run very consistently on good to firm ground conditions but was unable to handle the soft ground conditions on her most recent run at Gowran Park on the 28th July. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Escobar, trained by David O'Meara (in GB), at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined St Patrick's Day (USA), trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

224F Bulmers Live At Leopardstown H'cap

The Stewards requested a report from Mrs John Harrington, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Dance Emperor, placed first, as compared with its recent run. Ms. Kate Harrington, Autrhorised representative of Mrs John Harrington, reported that their change was suited by tonights good ground and a step up in trip to one mile combined with the reapplication of cheek pieces as compared with the visor worn at Galway on the 4th August which he appeared not to appreciate. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Fenagh, trained by Edward P.Harty, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost her action in the early stages of this race and was pulled up.

224G Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

S. Foley, rider of Intermedia trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away out of stalls and never travelled thereafter.
