A.P.O'Brien, trainer of Bravery (Off Feed) - €200

186B Irish Stallion Farms EBF Med. Auct. M'dn

The Stewards enquired into possible interference at about the 1f pole involving Drake Passage, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed second, Right Honourable, ridden by P.J. Smullen, placed third, Room To Roam, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed fourth and Slaney Street, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed fifth, where it appeared Room To Roam and Slaney Street suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that while interference did occur, they could not be satisfied that any horse had improved it's finishing position as a result of the interference and so they made no alteration to the judges' placings.
They took no further action other than to advise both P.J. Smullen and D.P. McDonogh to take more care when making manoeuvres in the closing stages of races.
Mr. John McStay, Acting Steward, absented himself from this enquiry.

P.J. Smullen, rider of Right Honourable trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran short of room in the closing stages.

186D ICON Apprentice H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Storm Ranger, ridden by D.P. Linehan, Sufoof, ridden by D.E. Hogan and Shoellen, ridden by K.J. Leonard, where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion both D.P Linehan and D.E. Hogan had ridden carelessly, and having taken their respective records into account, they suspended both riders for 1 raceday.
P.D. Deegan, trainer attended this enquiry with K.J Leonard and D.P. Linehan.

The Stewards received a report from W. Fleming, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that D.M. Redmond, rider of Allinone, weighed in at 1.6 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who could not account for his overweight. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that D.M. Redmond was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record, they suspended him for 1 raceday.

186G Racecourse Of The Year H'cap

S. Foley, rider of Witty Repartee trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in the final furlong.

The Stewards requested a report from J. S. Bolger, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Mainicin, winner, as compared with its recent form.
The trainer reported that any apparent improvement in form shown by his filly was due to her getting her favoured fast ground today.
Having considered the report, the Stewards noted it's contents.
