J.A. Heffernan, rider of South Sea Pearl trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran short of room in the closing stages.

The Stewards requested a report from A.P.O'Brien, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Peach Tree, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Joseph O'Brien, authorised representative of the trainer, reported that Peach Tree appeared to appreciate a drop back in class from Group 2 to Group 3 company and felt this had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined True Self, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

177F Bulmers Live At Leopardstown H'cap

The Stewards interviewed Joseph O'Brien, authorised representative of A.P. O'Brien, trainer, in relation to the running of Kangaroo Valley(USA) in this race on ground described as good to firm, good in places, having withdrawn from his previous engagement at Roscommon recently on ground described as good, good to firm at declaration time, which changed to good on raceday following slight rain. Mr O'Brien reported that Kangaroo Valley(USA) is unable to handle ground with loose underfoot conditions and felt the ground at Roscommon could be described as shifty and loose on top following rain. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Rainbow Pride trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung in running.

177G Red Bean Roastery (Q.R.) M'dn

The Stewards interviewed Mr A.P. Fahey, rider of Ishyaboi, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(b) in that he had continued to use his whip after his chance of winning or being placed had clearly gone. Having considered his previous record in this regard, the Stewards suspended Mr. A.P. Fahey for 2 racedays and advised him to familiarise himself with the rules in relation to use of the whip.
