The Stewards requested a report from John Geoghegan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Lady Boomerang, placed first, as compared with its most recent form. The trainer reported that his charge was drawn wide on her previous run in Sligo and ran very free early on. George Murphy, authorised representative of the trainer, reported that his charge was drawn wide at Galway in what he felt was a competitive race and never got into contention as a result . He felt the combination of a better draw and the application of blinkers on this occasion had helped bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f) in that she had used her whip with excessive frequency and Regulation 10. 4 in that she had failed to give her mount sufficient time to respond. Having taken her previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended Miss. C. Daffy for 2 racedays.

The Stewards received a report from Mr. J.R. Banahan, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, that C.A. Landers, rider of Queen Khaleesi (Ire), had failed to comply with his instructions which resulted in a false start. Evidence was heard from the starter and rider concerned.
