The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

K.J. Condon, trainer of Wider World (going) - €200
A.P.O'Brien, trainer of Along The Shore (off feed) - €200
Mrs John Harrington, trainer of Gambling Girl (going) - €200
Mrs John Harrington, trainer of Rock The World (going) - €200
W. McCreery, trainer of Fact Or Folklore (going) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

S.Foley rode Athloman Cottage (reserve) , trained by John M.Burke (Race 2)

225A Ir.Stallion Farms EBF (F) Med.Auct. M'dn

P. Twomey, trainer of Golden Malt (GB), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge was struck into in running.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Golden Malt (GB), at the request of trainer, P. Twomey, and reported the animal to have sustained a wound to her lateral right fore cannon.

225B Dunloe Hotel H'cap

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the straight involving Laganore, ridden by D. Meyler, placed fourth, Dea Dia, ridden by R.P. Downey, unplaced, Tagg's Island, ridden by Caroline Murtagh, placed second, Maknificent, ridden by S.B. Kelly, placed first, Best Kept Secret, ridden by D. O'Brien, unplaced and Mayakoba, ridden by D.M. Grant, placed third. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned, in the presence of J.P.Murtagh, trainer of Tagg's Island and Michael Hourigan, trainer, who accompanied D. O'Brien in the Stewards room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judge's placings, however they were of the opinion that Caroline Murtagh was in breach of Rule 214, in that she rode carelessly and having considered her record, suspended her for two race days. Furthermore R.P.Downey was cautioned concerning the accuracy of his evidence.

W.J. Lee, rider of Plain Talking trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

225F H'cap S'chase

V. T. O'Brien, trainer of All Or Now, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Friday 21st August that his charge was found to have burst a blood vessel post race.

225G Killarney Welcome Bordeaux INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr E. Monfort, rider, in relation to his riding in the closing stages where he appeared to stop riding and lost third place in the process. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 212 and suspended him for five race days.
Mr. John McGuire, Acting Steward did not act at this enquiry.

Miss J.M. Mangan, rider of Goldacava trained by James G.Sheehan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her saddle slipped in running.
