The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D.J. Mullins replaced S.W. Flanagan on Marshim, trained by W.Power (Race 6)(Injured)

182B International Hotel H'cap

The Stewards interviewed J.A. Heffernan, rider of Allegio, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that J.A. Heffernan was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency. They, therefore, suspended J.A. Heffernan for 1 raceday having taken into consideration his previous record and allowing for exceptional circumstances in this situation. .

S. Foley, rider of Yamato trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran short of room in the latter stages of this race.

182C Ir.Stallion Farms EBF Cairn Rouge Stakes

The Stewards requested a report from Mrs John Harrington, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Drumfad Bay, placed first, as compared with its recent run at Royal Ascot. Ms Kate Harrington, Authorised representative for Mrs John Harrington reported that their charge was outpaced throughout her last run in a handicap at Royal Ascot and furthermore received a severe bump at halfway. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

182D Dermot O'Leary Flesk Restaurant Mem. Hcp

W.J. Lee, rider of Silas R trained by W.T. Farrell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly in the straight and lost his action.

G.P. Halpin, rider of All For Nothing trained by Kevin Prendergast, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung on the bottom bend.

182E Thanks Colm The Gooch Cooper M'dn H'dle

P.E. Corbett, rider of Fraser (GER) trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was lame when pulling up after finishing third.

182G Killarney Racegoers (M) INH Flat Race

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Laoch Liam, ridden by Ms K. Walsh, placed first, Like An Open Book, ridden by Mr J.M. Burke, placed fourth, Sapphire Lady, ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed third and Gameasapebble, ridden by Mr R.W. Barron, placed fifth. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placing's and took no further action.
