The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

Eoin Christopher McCarthy, trainer of Lech Tall (off feed) - €200
T.J. O'Mara, trainer of Snoozing Indian (GB) (declared in error) - €200
A.P.O'Brien, trainer of Air Vice Marshal (USA) (off feed) - €200
G.M.Lyons, trainer of Savannah Storm (GB) (going) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Donnacha O'Brien replaced E.J. McNamara on General Macarthur (USA), trained by A.P.O'Brien (Race 4)(non runner)

227B Mosscontrol.ie M'dn

The Stewards informed Michael J. Browne, trainer of Master Vega, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

227D Vincent O'Brien Ruby Stakes

C.D. Hayes, rider of Flirt, trained by David Wachman, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got a bump leaving the stalls.

227E Diarmuid Cronin Electric Apprentice Hcap

The Stewards enquired into an incident before the turn into the straight involving Prince Jock (USA), ridden by K.P. Moriarty, placed sixth, Nannys Well, ridden by R. Coakley, placed third and Bert Leaf (GB), ridden by R.A. Smithers, unplaced. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that R.A.Smithers was in breach of Rule 214, in that he rode carelessly and having considered his clean record, suspended him for one race day.
