The Stewards received a report from Ms. Joan Taylor, Turf Club Veterinary Officer, that she was unable to positively identify Aunt Eileen, trained by John Patrick Ryan, from the markings contained in the passport presented for this horse. Evidence was heard from the trainer and the Turf Club Veterinary Officer. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Aunt Eileen and referred the matter to the Referrals Committee.

113B Killarney Towers Hotel M'dn H'dle

The Stewards granted permission for Travertine, trained by Niall Madden, to run without a tongue tie as declared, having dislodged it on the way to the start.

V.Clifford, trainer of Malicious Intent, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge blew up turning in and should benefit from the run.

The Stewards fined Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Baltic Phoenix, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

113C Jeremy O'Neill Memorial (Mares) H'dle

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Tocororo, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards after the trainer had withdrawn his charge and reported the animal to have slight nasal charge and to be coughing.

113D Ladbrokes Ireland H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into the late withdrawal of A Great View, trained by Denis W. Cullen. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned, who stated that he had travelled a long way with the full intention of running his charge. Having walked the track he felt he had no choice but to withdraw owing to the drying ground conditions, which may affect this horse who has a history of leg problems. He added that he had consulted with some riders from the first two races and the Turf Club Clerk of the Course before reaching this decision. Having consulted with the Turf Club Clerk of the Course, the Stewards allowed the late withdrawal and took no further action.

113G Irish Examiner H'cap S'chase

The Stewards interviewed Paul John Gilligan, trainer, in relation to his failure to declare a winners penalty for Glenwood For Ever, as required. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the trainer was in breach of Rule 194(2)(a), in that he had failed to declare the correct penalty and correct weight to the Clerk of the Scales, not less than one hour before the time for the running of the first race. Having considered his previous record in this regard, the Stewards fined him €130.

M.J. Bolger, rider of Say Geronimo trained by Sean Byrne, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not act on the ground and was pulled up thereafter.

A.P. Heskin, rider of Inchivara trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled up lame.

D.J. Mullins, rider of Pops Choice trained by Patrick Cronin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake and was pulled up thereafter.

113H Jim Ryan Services (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Stewards fined P.J. Rothwell, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Jimmyjames (GB), in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

The Stewards fined Michael Hourigan, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Pharmgate, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

The Stewards enquired into an incident the closing stages involving Dos Picas, ridden by Ms N. Carberry, placed third, Pateen, ridden by Ms L. O'Neill, placed first and Runfordave, ridden by Mr L.J. McGuinness, placed second, where it appeared Runfordave suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards advised Ms N. Carberry to ride with more care in the future

Shane Nolan, trainer of Urbanist, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Tuesday, 17th May, 2016 that his charge was found to have a cut on its hind leg following his run in this race.
