The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.W. Kennedy replaced R.M. Power on Clouncerna, trained by J.R. Barry (Race 1)(injured)
P.Townend replaced R.M. Power on Magnium, trained by Mrs John Harrington (Race 2)(injured)
P.D. Kennedy replaced R.M. Power on Fred The Foot, trained by John C. McConnell (Race 3)(injured)
P.Townend replaced R.M. Power on Jett, trained by Mrs John Harrington (Race 5)(injured)

109A Betvictor M'dn H'dle

P. Merrigan, rider of Chasing Abbey trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped.

109B Betvictor Sliabh Luachra H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Magnium, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be stiff behind and to have a small skin wound on the right hind pastern. Samples were taken for analysis.

P.Townend, rider of Magnium trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount didn't handle the ground and lost his action turning for home, but felt sound thereafter.

109C Easy Clean Limited H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into possible interference after jumping the third last involving Eamon High, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, placed first, Waterville Dancer, ridden by P.T. Enright, placed second and Ask Heather, ridden by S.F. O'Keeffe, placed third, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings. They were however, of the opinion that P.T. Enright was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record, they suspended him for 1 raceday.

109D Betvictor (Mares) M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Owenacurra Lass, trained by Declan Queally, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at the nose following exercised induced pulmonary haemorrhage.

The Stewards interviewed A. McCurtin, rider of Whatsdastory, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards accepted that two of the riders strikes were for corrective purposes, but as the remaining strikes were above the number permitted, they found him in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards cautioned A McCurtin on this occasion.

R.P. Treacy, rider of Minx Tiara trained by David M.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was off the bridle early, but ran on again in the closing stages.

109E Seamus Weldon John Deere An Riocht S'ch

The Stewards interviewed J.S. McGarvey, rider of Don't Touch It, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that J.S. McGarvey was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards cautioned J.S. McGarvey on this occasion.

The Stewards interviewed K.C. Sexton, rider of Peregrine Run, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that K.C. Sexton was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards cautioned K.C. Sexton on this occasion.

109F Tote Killarney National H'cap S'chase

A. Ring, rider of Wishmoor trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

109G Dan Linehan's Bar And B & B Hunters S'ch

The Stewards interviewed Mr M.J. O'Connor, rider of Ajijic, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr M.J. O'Connor was in breach of Regulation 10.3(h) in that he had used his whip with the arm above shoulder height. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards cautioned Mr. M.J. O'Connor on this occasion.

109H Betvictor (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

Ms L. O'Neill, rider of Kashmir Wilde, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her mount stumbled independently down the back.
